Incredible Faith Mission:
New Haven

Who can participate?

Incredible Faith Mission: New Haven is open to youth and intergenerational groups ages 14+.

Why volunteer?

People of every tradition and background hear the call to serve others and work for justice - Incredible Faith Mission: New Haven is built around that call. Mission work allows us to put our beliefs into action, and helps people of all ages deepen their faith while living it. Incredible Faith Mission: New Haven will be a time spent living in an intentional community of love and service. You will leave the week feeling transformed with new understandings of urban poverty.

What is it?

Incredible Faith Mission: New Haven is customizable to groups of folks eager to experience a week of mission work in New Haven.  Participants will stay at the comfortable and accommodating Spring Glen Church where you will eat and sleep but also get to reflect, play and enjoy time with one another. We will commute daily to cites around New Haven to do service projects focused on addressing urban poverty. Throughout New Haven, groups will work withpartner organizations to serve meals, sort donations and help at homelessshelters. There will also be time put aside to allow for some cultural immersion andfun time, where you can truly enjoy and appreciate New Haven. Equally important,we will have discussions where we learn how history has shaped urban poverty incities. Participants get the chance to both see and learn what poverty in New Havenlooks like today and what can be done to help.
